I’ve noticed one thing when shopping for candles: Some of them don’t always come with a holder.
We know that candles such as Yankee are already contained in their glass jars, and some of the smaller candles may come in suitable jars that can be reused.
What about those needing to sit in a holder before lit?

As previously discussed in my article on flameless candles, candle pots, pillar, floating, and jar candles also come with their container.
Choosing ones not already moulded inside their container means we must shop for suitable jars and trays to light the candle safely.
At Christmas, we usually see the table decorations set out with table runners and centrepiece candles to bring the festivities into the home. There are some lovely ideas online to choose from.

Christmas approaches again as 2023 ends, and we start looking for gifts for loved ones. A popular choice for Christmas of late is the candle advent calendar. As previously discussed in my article Perfume Advent Calendar, we already know just how popular these calendars are.

I recommend trying a sample of FM’s perfumes first, as scents can smell quite different in the bottle than on the skin.

It’s getting to that time of year when the nights start drawing in, and Halloween is fast approaching. Halloween pumpkin candles have become popular recently, and we’re not referring to the small tea-light ones you put inside your carved pumpkin.

Halloween has been a tradition for as long as 6,000 years and has been hugely popular, especially in America. It was a time when children dressed up in their favourite spooky costumes to knock on doors for Trick-or-Treating ( my childhood misconception was that it was called trickle-treating! ).
Over the years, we have seen pumpkins sitting on windowsills with all the house lights out or carved pumpkins sitting by the front door. These days, lit pumpkins signify that the owner is happy for children to knock on that person’s door.
It is a much better way of doing things, especially for the older generation. They don’t want to keep answering the door, especially if they are not mobile enough to keep getting up and down out of their chair or are perhaps vulnerable and too scared to open the door late at night.
We see hundreds of children dressed in their favourite costumes, carrying a cauldron-shaped sweet tub, witches hat, or similar container as they knock on people’s doors for Trick or Treat and collect sweets.
Tea light candles pop inside the carved pumpkin, and they look very effective once darkness falls, especially if one has been very creative in the carving.
Nowadays, seasonal candles are sold online and in shops. Pumpkin-scented candles for the Halloween season have become very popular over the years and add an element of mystery as the scents waft through the air.
You will see many candles in the shape of witches or black cats and the traditional glass jar-styled ones.
Some clear glass candle jars are decorated with spider webs or witches, which look effective when lit.
