Working with a fragrance company has its benefits. One perk is the opportunity to try new products, and the latest addition to FM World’s lineup is their home perfume spray. We all appreciate our homes smelling fresh and clean without the need to bleach every hard surface or open all the windows to circulate fresh air. Great in warmer weather, but less practical in the winter months. Maintaining a clean home gives us a calm and relaxed state of mind.

The added benefit of each room smelling like our favourite perfume, without actually using up a whole bottle, is the comfort it provides. We’ve previously discussed vacuum fresheners to enhance the home’s scent, but what do we use when the vacuum isn’t running?

Many products, such as incense sticks, scented candles, and reed diffusers, offer a subtle hint of fragrance over a few months or when lit. However, these don’t always provide an instant whiff of scent when needed.

While scented candles work well if you plan to stay home while they burn, we also need an immediate scent option, perhaps something we can spray in the room before heading off to work.

Type: rich, multi-threaded

Unisex

900– a unique fragrance that has seen sales of its perfume explode, with its perfume notes similar to Lost Cherry by Tom Ford

Type: fascinating, unique, charming cherry

Fragrance notes: Head: black cherry, cherry liqueur, bitter almonds Heart: rose, jasmine, sour cherry Base: tonka bean, sandalwood, vetiver, cedarwood.

910– A hidden gem in the perfume world, but with its gorgeous combination of fragrance notes inspired by Baccarat Rouge 540- Kurksjian, this scent is a delight to wear as a perfume and as a room spray to enhance the home.

Type: dry, flavoured with a hint of sweetness

Fragrance notes: Head: jasmine, saffron Heart: balsam fir, cedarwood Base: cashmere wood, ambergris, moss, brown sugar.

The spray pump is sold separately, so when a replacement is needed, wash the existing pump and pop it into the new bottle.

What makes this product remarkable is its fantastic, delicate mist. Coupled with its elegant bottle design, it blends in seamlessly when left on the unit for easy access.

Unlike some other brands, the scent remains very subtle and not overpowering, even if you take a whiff immediately after spraying.

While each bottle may not be the most economical purchase, it provides numerous sprays and often lasts several weeks. The longevity depends on usage frequency and the number of rooms sprayed.

I limit spraying to my dining room and lounge downstairs just as I leave home. The kitchen, a space for cooking and eating, doesn’t require a perfume scent, nor do the bedrooms. For those areas, scented candles or fragrance sticks are more suitable.

The spray is used in my home, sometimes multiple times a day. Spraying it into the air just before leaving ensures the scent lingers in the room upon return.

Given the many product sprays available, choosing the best one for your home can be challenging. For pet owners, it’s essential to consider scents that aren’t too strong and won’t affect your pet’s well-being. Some sprays may linger on furniture when applied directly, so spraying into the air is advisable to prevent residue on your furnishings.

To avoid any residue on your furnishings, it’s recommended to spray into the air rather than directly onto furniture.
