Christmas approaches again as 2023 ends, and we start looking for gifts for loved ones. A popular choice for Christmas of late is the candle advent calendar. As previously discussed in my article Perfume Advent Calendar, we already know just how popular these calendars are.

There was always something magical about opening a window each morning to see which chocolate was inside. The excitement of getting nearer to the number 24 window was always more significant than the rest, and having more giant chocolate inside to enjoy.
The days seem to have passed for the chocolate variety. However, they are still widely available for everyone and mainly cater to young children, with different cartoon designs to encourage purchase.

The perfume industry is vast and continues to grow. One of the great things about buying a new fragrance is the available samples to try before you buy. We’ve all done it. We purchase a perfume because it smells nice on someone else or because the celebrity endorser behind the bottle is one of our favourite actors.

An extra gift
Another idea for using perfume samples is to add a small gift to a birthday or Christmas present, particularly if you find out what fragrance the person likes, such as floral, woody, citrus, oriental, etc.
You could then choose those fragrance notes as an extra gift to pop inside their gift.
Be creative with your samples.
If you don’t want to wear or give away your perfume samples, there are several things you can do with them.
The potpourri on your kitchen windowsill that has lost its scent can be quickly revived by sprinkling drops of your perfume sample on top.
Sprinkle some perfume onto your potpourri for a delicate scent in the home Take a sample abroad for your holidays. When the airport limits the amount of liquid we can take, a sample bottle is the perfect solution, and you can take a few different scents with you, too.
Add a sample bottle to a water spray with a bit of water, and gently spray your car seats to give them a new scent when you return for a drive.
An excellent idea for smelly kitchen bins is to add some drops to some cotton balls and pop them in the bottom of your bin before your liner goes in.
