Have you ever used the fragrance wheel to purchase a new scent? Many of us use our sense of smell to determine if we like a perfume or aftershave, but the fragrance wheel allows us to see which fragrance notes sit in which category.
Michael Edwards, a leading fragrance expert and consultant, created the fragrance wheel.
He developed the wheel in 1983 as a visual representation to categorise and classify different fragrances based on their dominant scent characteristics. This would make it easier to find a scent under a specific category.
Michael Edwards is well-known in the perfume industry for his extensive fragrance knowledge and expertise. His creation of the fragrance wheel has become a widely used tool in the world of perfumery, helping both professionals and consumers understand and appreciate the diverse range of scents available in the market.

How the fragrance wheel works

Sometimes, we don’t automatically recognise which family a particular scent falls into, so with the FM World wheel, we have a male and female side. There is an inner wheel with an arrow that can be moved to a designated fragrance family, and then, within that selection, we can see which perfume numbers fall within that fragrance family.

Our Pure Royal range is an Eau de parfum that contains the highest quality of perfume oils, and therefore, they are slightly more expensive than the Pure range. That being said, they are still more affordable than many celebrity designer fragrances. The Pure Royal range comes in a more expensive bottle, packaging and perfume oils than the Pure range.

FM World began its journey in 2004 in Warsaw, Poland, with a man named Artur Trawinski, whom I had the pleasure of meeting during my time with the company. They started their MLM business selling perfumes and have expanded to many other products over the years, including cosmetics, health, vitamins, beverages, skincare, and more.

They sell high-quality, unique perfumes inspired by some of the most popular designer perfumes we see today. Some will compare our scents to designer perfumes, but It’s important to note that FM perfumes are not copies of designer perfumes.
FM has created affordable fragrances using the same fragrance wheel as designer companies, but unlike designer scents, which use around 16% perfume oil, FM uses 20%.
They can afford to do this because they don’t have celebrity endorsers, TV adverts, or sales representatives in shops to advertise their brand. This keeps their costs down, and they have distributors like myself who sell to friends, family, and customers.
Reasons to Choose FM WORLD
Many men and women have a designer scent or two in their bedside cabinets. Because of its price tag, many will only use that fragrance for a special occasion. We don’t want to spray a £70 bottle of Chanel no.5 when we are going to work.
Such fragrances are used sparingly for weddings or nights out. When you purchase an FM perfume, you can spray it on daily wherever you might be going.
Even if you’re sitting at home on a Sunday with no plans to go anywhere, FM perfumes allow you to spray your favourite scent no matter what you are doing.

Musk can be a heavy fragrance if sprayed too much, which was most certainly the case. We sometimes forget that even when we can no longer smell the scent on our skin, others can still smell it.
Our noses get used to the scent as it settles, and while we may be led to believe that the smell has worn off, it is still very much noticeable to others.
Spraying more or too much in the first place will not only impact your nose and could give you a headache but also harm those around you.
Every woman loves to be noticed and admired by her choice of clothes, hair, makeup and fragrance, but no one wants her chosen scent to linger long after she has walked past.
Fruit and freshness
When sprayed, this scent instantly smells fresh, and the top notes, especially the blackcurrant, pop through. After a few minutes of spraying, there is a gorgeous smell of sweetness with the orange blossom drifting through and a woody edge from the cashmere wood.
Whilst some woody perfumes can be a little heavy, the blackcurrant and orange blossom balance this fragrance perfectly. Towards the end of the day, the patchouli and ambergris are noticeable as the scent has settled nicely into its fragrance.
