FM perfume 359 review
If you love sweet fragrances that have a touch of vanilla and jasmine, our FM perfume 359 review will cover all you need to know about this fragrance.
This was one of my very first fragrances that I purchased from Fm World and is still one of my favourites today.
It has a sweet and feminine scent on its first spray and the notes of jasmine are noticeable as soon as the scent settles on the skin.
The ideal scent to wear during any season I feel and most suitable for the spring/summer with its citrus based fragrance family.
With FM perfumes, they choose simplicity over anything fancy in order to keep the cost down for their customers.
This fragrance is suitable for a night out with the girls on a summer’s evening.
What does FM 359 smell like?
For those who are familiar with our scents, will already know that the fragrance notes are very similar to that of the designer fragrances.
Some will that they struggle to smell any difference between the designer scents and our perfumes.
This perfume has very similar notes to Alien Essence Absolue, a fragrance that was released in 2012 by Thierry Mugler.
Jasmine plant 
Vanilla scent It is a very popular scent, even today and FM have created a wonderful alternative without compromising quality and cost.
Of course, there will be many that will only buy the original of any product, especially when it comes to perfumes.
If you can step aside from the celebrity endorsed fragrances and try a sample of FM 359, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

Pure Royal Range
The pure royal perfumes contain 20% pure perfume oil. They use a more expensive oil than those of the Pure Range and the scent will last around 6 hours.
Not bad for a perfume that we can all afford and not worry about wasting the bottle or keeping it locked away in the cupboard for a suitable day.
Every day is special so we should be allowed to wear whatever scent we wish without feeling guilty that its price tag is a little high.
FM perfume 359 review
I love the instant whiff of jasmine as soon as I sprayed this on my skin and although it has notes of vanilla- a scent that I avoid as it’s far too sweet for my skin- I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
The vanilla base note isn’t overpowering and sits beautifully within the rest of the notes.
I find vanilla scents give me a headache so by choosing those that have this scent as their base, I know that I am not going to smell the sickly scent.
One that I experience commonly with heavily scented vanilla fragrances.
Although the base notes are what we need to be looking for when finding a perfume, having a touch of vanilla that balanced well with the rest of the notes made me realise that we do need to try a scent first.

Our nose gets used to the scent as it settles and whilst we may be led to believe that the scent has worn off, it is still very much noticeable to others.
By spraying more or too much in the first place will not only impact your own nose and could give you a headache, it will have a negative impact on those around you.
Every women loves to be noticed and admired by her choice in clothes, hair, make up and fragrance but no one wants her chosen scent to linger long after she has walked past.
Fruit and freshness
There is an instant smell of freshness when this scent is sprayed and the top notes pop through, especially the blackcurrant.
After a few minutes of spraying, there is a gorgeous smell of sweetness with the orange blossom drifting through and a woody edge from the cashmere wood.

■ Place your lit candle away from any drafts as any slight air in the atmosphere can disturb the flame and result in the candle burning unevenly.
■ Avoid burning your candle for too long. This will build up the carbon on the wick and the reason why the candle can become distorted and result in the flame burning irregularly.
Not only does this ruin your beautiful candle that you have just purchased but it also creates soot which is not good for your home or for your health.
■ Ideally, you should burn a candle for maximum of four hours at a time. Blow out the candle and give it time to cool down and reshape before relighting.
Each candle has a burn time between 35 and 40 hours.
That’s a long burn time!

FM perfume 910 review
Fm perfume 910 review. This is a unisex fragrance and a wonderful scent if you like delicate fragrances that sit in the wood family.
So many of us love perfume but the price tag isn’t always suitable. So when we have a fragrance that is influenced by the fragrance notes of designer perfumes, it’s definitely worth trying.
As previously discussed here on my website, FM WORLD create perfumes that are not only affordable and long-lasting but also contain very similar fragrance notes to that of the designer perfumes.
When we look for a particular design of perfume, the price can be a bit of an eye-opener.
Inspired by the designers
Whilst there may be many designer fragrances that are within budget, the comparison that FM perfume 910 is very similar to is Baccarat Rouge 540.
A fragrance that was first launched in 2014 under Baccarat’s name and then relaunched in 2015 by Maison Kurkdjian, this scent captures a delicate collection of gentle scents, contrary to sitting in the wood/oriental family.
If you purchase a bottle of the Extrait De Parfum as a 70ml bottle from their website, you are looking at parting with an eye-watering £320.
Can anyone justify that price? Well, if you happen to be a pop star named Rihanna, then indeed you can.
This was her go to fragrance before she launched her own brand of perfume.
Regarded as a very flattering scent for both men and women, it became a hugely popular choice on such social platforms such as Tik Tok and has transformed this scent into the success that we see today.There’s no denying that it is a beautiful bottle with its gold and red vibe and a very classy looking design but there will be many women and men who can’t or won’t buy such an expensive scent.
So, what do we do when we love a fragrance but the cost is just too much to part with?
Some may buy ‘copies’ of their favourite scent and end up disappointed when their new purchase doesn’t live up to their expectations.

Buying a similar scent for less
Another option is to purchase the inspired version from FM World.

After all, it’s the scent we should be the most interested in. This is what those around us will notice.
We are very much influenced by classy and elegant looking bottles and this is what catches our eye first before we begin to decide on what scent we like.
Retailers and perfume designers know this and customers are drawn to fancy packaging and the celebrity endorsers of certain fragrances.
Familiarity sells much easier than unknown brands.
Any scent that contains cedarwood or jasmine has my vote.
This is the perfect scent for any season as it has a very delicate and light feel even though it doesn’t contain your classic delicate selection of flower and fruity perfumes.
Why FM910 is so popular
FM 910 has a wonderful balance of wood and oriental notes and the head notes ‘pop’ as soon as the bottle is sprayed.
It’s easy to see why this fragrance is so popular. Once the scent settles on the skin, we are left with a ‘clear water’ smell.
Crisp, seductive and very pleasant on our senses.
Some people may shy away from a unisex scent for fear of being too masculine for the ladies or more importantly (as women can get away with wearing a ‘masculine’ scent ), smelling too feminine for a man.
What to expect with this scent
I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
There is a touch of sweetness to the notes yet it’s not overpowering or sickly. The scent almost reminds me of a fragrance that you would wear to a wedding.
Delicate with just enough impact to be noticed without everyone turning around after you’ve walked past, with the screwed up facial expression telling you that your chosen scent is far too strong!
It has a sense of seductiveness as the base notes reach the nose and definitely a scent that can be worn all year round.
When we compare the fragrance notes in Baccarat Rouge 540, we can see that FM has similar notes but they’re not identical.

Middle notes: Amberwood and ambergris
Base notes:Fir resin and cedar.
With such similarities, you will find it hard to tell which scent is the designer one.
As with all perfumes, the base notes are those that will linger for the remainder of the time.
After spraying on my skin around 8am one morning, I was pleasantly surprised to still be able to smell the notes at 5pm.
A delightful and simplistic bottle that sits in the PURE ROYAL range, the FM 910 is definitely worth trying and a sample can be purchased here.
I would always recommend trying any sample of FM’s perfumes first as scents do smell very different in the bottle to when they are sitting on the skin.
Conclusion
A delightful scent that is very light and wearable and definitely suitable for both men and women.
I would perhaps like a touch more scent and slightly stronger to pop through but overall the FM 910 is a very pleasant and a popular perfume within the PURE ROYAL range.

Pillow mist spray review
Have you ever used a pillow mist spray? Here I write a review on one of my favourites called Tropic So Sleepy.
There’s nothing worse that feeling tired before going to bed and then finding that you’re wide awake for the next hour trying to sleep.
We’ve all been there as adults more so than children. They seem to have a knack and the ability of dropping off as soon as their head hits the pillow. If only !
Being sleep deprived can have a huge impact on our day to day activities, especially if we’ve had several nights of desperately trying to dose off with little success.
Waking up the next morning feeling like you have been awake for most of the night is not a nice feeling.
Many of us are already in the habit of watching TV til late, working and looking at our screens before bed and these combinations don’t assist us in any way.
The perfect solution in a bottle of pillow mist spray
I had a bottle of the Tropic So Sleepy bought as a gift for my birthday last year.
I have never used one before but was willing to give it a try to see if it really did work.Looking at the ingredients alone was enough surely to help me drop off to sleep.
Notes of lavender, chamomile and frankincense essential oils in a 30ml bottle sounded heavenly and was surely going to help enormously with getting a good nights sleep.

Frankincense relieves stress and anxiety I have always been a bit wary of spraying products directly onto my pillow. Not keen on the idea that my skin could potentially touch the product as it soaks in whilst I move into different positions in a bid to get comfortable.
The great thing about using a pillow mist spray is that although it is a pillow mist you don’t have to spray on your pillow.
Like other topical products that help sleep and the respirator system, I like to put the product onto a tissue and then have the tissue nearby my pillow so that I still benefit from its properties.
By doing this, I know that the product is not going to come into contact with my skin and potentially cause a reaction.
The first whiff of the Tropic So Sleepy product is definitely the lavender. A beautiful flower not just for its vibrant colour but also for so many of its healing properties.
A beautiful scent to assist in a peaceful nights sleep There is almost a sense of instant calm as soon as the fragrance hits your nose, giving you the confidence that it will assist in a better nights sleep.
Having not used it for several weeks, simply due to forgetting that I had it in my bedside drawer, and having a few disturbed nights, I was keen to revisit this little product once again.
I’ve been used to waking up through the night regularly for several years and that’s part and parcel of how my sleep pattern has settled. This has never really bothered me that much.
Clock watching
The fact that I was finding it difficult to get to sleep in the first place was what bothered me.
Every five minutes looking at the clock to see if the time had moved on as much as it felt like it had or indeed if I had even fallen asleep and woken up again a short time later.
Nothing worse than constantly checking the alarm clock to see if we have been asleep or still very much awake Sleep definitely felt like it was overrated when we were younger. Why do we need to go to bed so early? What was the importance of sleep?

As we grow older, we start to learn and realise that sleep is an essential part of our everyday living.
Without a good night rest, it can have a detrimental effect on our mental health, our well-being and our physical being.
We spent so many years in our youth fighting sleep and not wanting to go to bed and now as adults we are desperately going the other way in trying to get as much shut-eye as possible.

If your home is occupied by pets or young children, buying a wax burner that you can plug-in is safer than the burners that use tea light candles as the heat is generated from the powered bulb.
Please bear in mind that even when using a plug-in wax melt, the wax will still be very hot when it burns into a liquid and therefore can still harm young children or pets if it is accidentally knocked over.
Placing the dish in a safe place is essential.
Unlike most candles that will have a burn time between 30 and 40 hours, depending on the size that you purchase, using wax melts are much more economical. They seem to burn on forever.

Yankee scented candles review
There’s not many of us that don’t like candles. Especially when it comes to Yankee scented candles.
The first time I noticed these wonderful creations was several years ago, at my local village garden centre at Christmas.
Taking a visit to a garden centre is always a delightful place to visit during the festive season, with their collection of tree ornaments, garlands and unique gifts.
Head over to the candle section and the shelves were full from the ceiling to the floor of an array of colours, styles and gorgeous smelling scents.
You could definitely smell the fragrances as soon as you walked through the door.
With so many to choose from, the decision was often made difficult.
Which candle to choose
A classy design is just as important as a gorgeous fragrance when it comes to candles. After all, it’s on show in our homes so it’s good to go for one that looks elegant and homely.
If you’re looking for cheap candles, then the Yankee will overstretch the budget.
We do get what we pay for so I’m a firm believer in spending a little more to have a product that will last and is of better quality.
Whenever tea light candles are on sale, which is pretty much all year around now, they are often cheap to purchase.
Some will last fairly well and you will get a good burning time but some may not last as long or not burn in the correct way.
The Yankee candle does come in three different sizes so if the price of a large one is more than you’re prepared to pay, then the smaller options are great too.
Having such a good burn time for all three size jars really does give the home the opportunity to smell gorgeous whatever the season or reason for purchasing them.
Why are Yankee candles so expensive?
From experience Yankee candles are more expensive when purchased from small businesses/gift shops. The smaller companies will often have a higher price tag so it pays to shop around before you buy.
Yankee candles do burn more evenly than some candles on the market and therefore this quality reflects in the price.As it’s often said, we get what we pay for and I feel that paying a little more for a candle that will last a long time and burn evenly is something that every home needs.It also needs to burn safely.Always pay special attention with candles when they are lit.
Although the Yankee candles burn safely inside their jar, don’t leave them unattended or around small children who could knock them over or scald themselves.
There’s definitely something about having candles burning at home that gives a sense of warmth, calmness and a wintry feel once the curtains are closed for the evening.
They can be used all year round too, not just for cosy nights in. Remember to prep your candle first before it’s first lit.

Once you’ve used your candle and it’s burned away, it’s a great idea to reuse the jar. Dress it up or pop a tea light in the bottom. The jars are very sturdy and there are several fragrances that they come in.
The jars also come with a lid which is a great way of holding onto the scent when the candle is not lit.
If you’re prone to headaches around strong fragrances, try to choose the more delicate scents.

Fm perfume no.900 is part of the wood family which gives a real sense of oriental, floral and fruity notes.
With its base notes of sandalwood and cedarwood, this allows for that masculine fragrance to still be present for the male wearer and still have a hint of femininity for the ladies.
No. 900 has similar notes to Tom Ford, Lost Cherry and is one of FM’s top selling unisex fragrances.
Whilst a designer bottle will cost you just short of £200 online, FM is a great alternative for a more affordable fragrance with similar notes and the same size bottle.
Tom Ford fragrances will set you back a few pounds but there are other alternatives Sometimes we have to be a savvy shopper if we have expensive taste in perfume.
The bottle is a bit clumpy and not so convenient to carry around like some of their other fragrance bottles.
