Sometimes, we don’t automatically recognise which family a particular scent falls into, so with the FM World wheel, we have a male and female side. There is an inner wheel with an arrow that can be moved to a designated fragrance family, and then, within that selection, we can see which perfume numbers fall within that fragrance family.

I would say absolutely, yes. Especially if you travel and don’t want the liquid restrictions at the airport or don’t want to carry a bulky bottle of perfume to work or out for an evening.
Rollerball versus spray perfume
We tend to get a more intense fragrance concentration with a rollerball than our traditional sprays.
Unlike the spray bottle, the rollerball will provide a more direct application, so this is ideal If you are perhaps in an area where spraying a bottle of perfume will impact those around you.
Have you ever been sitting in a restaurant, and the woman at the following table has finished her meal before you, and she gets out her favourite scent and sprays it before she leaves?
It’s unpleasant, and I don’t understand why women don’t wait until outside to spritz. Nobody else wants to smell your fragrance to that extent.
Are they value for money? Well, with your traditional spray perfume, you do get more product in the bottle. That being said, you would possibly use less of the rollerball perfume because it is a couple of rolls on the skin, and you’re done.
Like perfume, the rollerball activates when it hits your skin and then evaporates throughout the day to release its fragrance.
Compared to the rollerball version, we do lose a certain amount of spray perfume each time we spray on our wrists or neck.
A great way to test for yourself which will last the longest would be to buy the same size rollerball as your perfume bottle, note when you first started spraying or rolling, and see which one lasts the longest.
The same rule applies to storing your rollerball perfume. Please keep it in a cool and dry place, the same as you would with your spray and perfume, away from light or exposure to heat. This will prevent your scent from degrading.
Rollerball perfume is applied in the same areas as your spray version so pulse points on your wrists and neck are very common places, but you can also place the rollerball behind the ears.
This is undoubtedly much easier to do with a rollerball than with a spray perfume bottle. Try not to rub your wrists together. As this breaks the fragrance, rolling the ball across your skin is a simple application until the scent comes through.
Remember that everyone’s skin is different, so the scent of the product you send that smells good on your friend or family member may not necessarily smell as good on you. So, it’s always good to try a sample first.

Every time I see this perfume, it reminds me of when my stepfather bought me Angel.

Fragrances are not just for men and women. Teenagers love to smell good, so we decided to look at suitable cologne for teenage guys.
The fragrance and skincare world has been famous for many years. Whether it’s a shower gel, deodorant or something more substantial, we all use scents in some form that’s built into our daily routine.
Of course, many men and women don’t enjoy wearing fragrances, and that’s perfectly fine. Their skin may be too sensitive, or they just haven’t found the right scent for them.
Young girls, in particular, are influenced by their favourite pop idols and what perfume they are currently endorsing or have had some input into creating their unique scent. Every other celebrity has had a fragrance either endorsed with their name or has made their line of perfumes or aftershaves for the world to try.
Teenage boys are similar when it comes to being influenced. They may not follow the pop and superstar era as much as female teenagers, but they are still influenced by fashion, music, TV, and the latest video games.
When I was young and attending school, it wasn’t an item that I would spritz every day before heading off for my day of learning. Nowadays, fragrances are more popular with the younger generation, and there’s a concoction of scents around the school building and in the classroom.
Deodorants are introduced as teenagers hit around 13/14 when it becomes necessary for hygiene and the dreaded hormones start to surface. What we could get away with and not sweat after an afternoon of PE isn’t the case when we reach puberty.
My eldest son was about 14 years old when he became interested in wearing more than just a deodorant to school. I also remember him being more interested in taking regular showers! Maybe it’s a boy thing!

It is important not to choose a fragrance that is too strong for a youngster. The best option is to aim for more subtle scents that still allow young people to feel good about themselves while keeping the fragrance to a minimum.

The legendary Justin Timberlake was also reportedly in the running for signing up the teen idol but lost the bidding war to Usher, partly because both have the same first name. So, the idea was dropped so as not to confuse the music market.

We all look forward to a holiday each year, and sometimes, we want to take our favourite perfume or aftershave with us.
