    Perfume Trends For 2024

Let’s talk about a subject that taps into our senses and emotions: perfume trends for 2024. We will discover how these trends reflect our collective tastes and times. From botanical bursts to synthetic wonders, each year brings a new wave of olfactory experiences.

Staying in step with these trends isn’t just about staying current; it’s about understanding the unique blend of artistry, technology, and market dynamics that influence what scents we’ll be drawn to. The world of fragrance is deeply interconnected with global events and cultural shifts, shaping our social language through scent.

Why might you be interested in what’s spritzing up for 2024? Whether you are a connoisseur or enjoy a pleasant aroma, keeping a finger on the pulse of perfume trends can offer fascinating insights. This keen understanding makes us question why we instinctively follow these trends and how they come to be.

Discovering the Essence: Why We Chase the Latest Fragrance Trends

I’m going to delve into something fascinating here. Have you ever wondered why we gravitate toward the latest scent trends with such enthusiasm? It isn’t just about smelling nice; it’s about something more profound. The reasons are as complex as the fragrances themselves.

It’s about the psychology behind our decisions. People have an innate desire to feel connected, and following trends is one decisive way to achieve that. Choosing a perfume in vogue can give us a sense of belonging, as if we’re part of a more significant, stylish movement that transcends individual tastes.

But there’s more to it than just fitting in. Our choice of perfume is a personal signature, a way to express our identity. Just as we update our wardrobe to reflect our evolving style, updating our scent wardrobe keeps our olfactory identity fresh and relevant in a rapidly changing world.

Those trends also encourage a sense of discovery and novelty, which I think we all crave. Trying out new perfumes becomes an adventure, a chance to explore unknown olfactory territories without leaving the comfort zone of a trending consensus.

Don’t worry too much about following the crowd. It’s perfectly fine to be selective. Choose something that resonates with you, even if it’s a trending scent. Ultimately, the fragrance you wear should be an extension of who you are.

The Scent Architects: Who is Behind the Creation of Perfume Trends?

I will pull back the curtain on the mysterious figures who shape the world’s smell. In the perfume industry, masterminds, known as ‘noses,’ often work behind the scenes to create aromatic masterpieces that set the stage for global trends.

These scent architects are a blend of artists and scientists. They meticulously craft each fragrance note to evoke specific emotions and environments. They draw inspiration from a vast palette of ingredients, from exotic flowers to synthetic molecules designed to replicate the scent of rain.

In addition to skilled perfumers, major fashion houses and luxury brands dictate trends. When a high-fashion brand releases a new perfume, it comes with the brand’s prestige, often shaping consumer preferences before the first spritz ever touches the skin.

Celebrity endorsements are another influential factor. The allure of a celebrity’s lifestyle can make their signature scents wildly popular, and the collaborations between celebrities and seasoned perfumers can also usher in new trends.

Then there’s the rise of niche perfumeries, the craft brewers of the olfactory world. They’ve been disrupting the market with unique and bold scents, appealing to those looking for something outside the mainstream – and sometimes, the mainstream follows suit.

Unlike blockbuster scents, these boutique players often use rarer ingredients and more complex compositions, which can lead to a cult following and, eventually, wider market adoption.

Amid this intricate web of influencers, one thing remains consistent: a blend of creativity, market insight, and, sometimes, sheer luck that propels a scent to trendsetter status.

Navigating the Aromatic Currents: To Follow or Not to Follow Trends

In the fragrance world, adopting the latest trends isn’t always straightforward. It’s like choosing a new hat—you want one that fits well and reflects your style, not just what’s grabbing headlines.

Diving headfirst into trendy scents can be thrilling; it’s a way to reinvent your olfactory signature and keep your scent wardrobe fresh. But hang on, it’s not just about hopping on the trend train. There’s something to be said for sticking with what works for you.

The classics, those time-tested favourites, have staying power for a reason. They’re dependable and often evolve into an olfactory comfort blanket, invoking memories and reaffirming our sense of self. One could argue that your scent—the one that’s ‘you’—outweighs the fleeting appeal of the latest fad.

Still, don’t let that deter you from exploring. Trends can serve as a guide, a window into what’s new and exciting. They can be a source of inspiration, even if you don’t adopt them wholesale. Think of them as a scent library to browse, not a mandate to change your entire perfume collection.

As we flow into the next section, consider this: the balance between embracing new trends and staying true to your essence is a dynamic dance. Understanding the lucrative business behind these aromatic trends sheds light on why certain scents are popular. It’s a mix of artistry, marketing sophistication, and, quite frankly, a keen sense of what can make an industry thrive.

The Alluring Business of Scents: Understanding Perfume Industry’s Success

I will tell you why the perfume industry isn’t just surviving; it’s thriving massively. You’ll learn about the innovative strategies that make this market one of the most lucrative.

Now, what is a significant driver of this success? Sure, it’s about the luxurious bottles and the enchanting scents, but it’s also about the brilliant economics behind it. High-profit margins are a reality here; a little liquid costs a lot because it’s not just the product but the story it sells that matters.

In my opinion, the real game-changer has been scent marketing. You feel a little happier when you pass a store that smells like fresh linen or warm cookies. Brands understand and leverage our olfactory connection to the maximum, generating emotional ties and increased sales.

Don’t worry too much about the industry becoming stagnant, either. Companies can innovate their branding, target niche markets, or create new scent categories.

Choose something that resonates with you; chances are, the industry is already tapping into that appeal with tailored marketing and personalized experiences. Customization isn’t just a trend; it’s a strategy that perfume companies use to ensure the customer feels unique. And guess what? They are.

It blew me away in terms of the quality of these marketing approaches. By telling a unique story and appealing to our desire to express individuality, the industry is not just selling perfumes but a piece of an aspirational lifestyle, making it incredibly successful.

Beyond the Bottle: The Emotional Journey with Perfumes

Perfumes do far more than make us smell good. They can evoke memories, transport us to different places, and even change our moods. Let’s explore the deep emotional connections we often forge with our favourite scents.

Every fragrance tells a story. You might recognize a hint of jasmine that reminds you of a family member’s garden or a whiff of tobacco that evokes images of your grandfather’s study. Perfumes are unique in our personal life narratives, intertwining with significant daily moments.

Moreover, there is emerging interest in the therapeutic potential of fragrance. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, perfumes are being acknowledged for their ability to boost well-being. The concept of ‘aromachology’ examines the effects of scent on the human psyche, suggesting new possibilities for perfumes as mood enhancers and stress relievers.

    Conclusion

Trends and economics do not just drive the world of perfumes; it is deeply rooted in the emotional and experiential. As we continue to embrace new fragrances, we don’t only add to our collection of scents but also our reservoir of emotions and memories. And who knows? The most cherished perfume memories of tomorrow could well be influenced by the trends of 2024.

    Zendaya’s Favourite Perfume

Zendaya’s favourite perfume is Lancôme Idole, and it’s easy to see why. Who is she? With so many celebrities endorsing perfumes, one reason such products sell so well is that they are popular. The fragrance world is growing yearly; another celebrity we’re keen to learn about is Zendaya.

A brief insight into the actress/singers’ history

The world is filled with beautiful women, and this American actress, dancer and singer is no exception.

At 27 ( born in 1996), Zendaya Marée Stoermer Coleman has the world at her feet. She has received Golden Globe awards and two Primetime Emmy awards. Zendaya Marée Stoermer Coleman began her career as a backup dancer and a child model for Macy’s, Melvyn’s, and Old Navy.

She made her television debut in 2010, starring in the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up, and has since been featured in several films.

Her feature film debut came in 2017 when she starred alongside her current partner, Tom Holland, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It is just one of the fantastic Marvel films my two sons and I have enjoyed watching. She also starred in the films’ sequels.

Another popular film, The Greatest Showman, is based on a true story. In it, Zendaya portrays a trapeze artist who falls in love.

The film was a massive hit when it was released in 2017 and is still very much watched today.

Zendaya’s talent doesn’t stop there, though. She has also ventured into the music world with her delicate vocals on the hit record Rewrite The Stars from the same film/musical.

Her most significant success as a musician was collaborating with Zac Efron. A song that reached the top 20 charts.

    Lancôme Idole

This is a popular scent from the Lancôme range of fragrances. It is a reasonably intense eau de parfum that lasts for around eight hours, so a light spray is recommended not to overwhelm. Any fragrance should be subtle on the skin.

Lancôme Idole was created in 2019 with a bottle that shows femininity, class and simplicity. This female scent doesn’t necessarily need lots of sparkle and glamour to be popular. After all, we don’t wear the bottle. It’s the scent that matters.

On its first spray, this fragrance gives an instant hit of rose, musk and fruit notes.

It is a very womanly fragrance with a strong kick. As the fragrance settles, there’s a definite scent of Pink Pepper and Bergamont.

The White Mask and Cedar are noticeable as the base notes come through later. It has a very clean scent with such famous fragrance notes.

I’m sure it will be a hit for many women who like to make a statement yet still have that touch of class and summer vibe. As the name suggests,’ Idole‘ brings a fresh fragrance to life for any woman who dares to be outspoken, strong and empowered.’I’m sure it will be a hit for many women who like to make a statement yet still have that touch of class and summer vibe. As the name suggests, ‘Idole’ brings a fresh fragrance to life for any woman who dares to be outspoken, strong and empowered.

I would say that it is a more suitable scent for an evening out than daytime perfume. It might be too heavy for an office or retail shop working environment.

Lancôme knows how to create a variety of scents. When we compare this one with La Vie Est Belle, there is a noticeable difference as the latter is a much sweeter and more versatile fragrance.

There are many positive reviews online from customers who have bought this classic scent.

‘Beautiful, long-lasting and elegant’ says one. ‘Perfect for the confident women‘.

‘It lasts all day and smells so fresh and sexy‘, said another.

    Celebrity Endorsed Perfumes

We see celebrity-endorsed perfumes everywhere, online and on the high street. So when did it all start? 1987 Elizabeth Taylor began the trend when she launched her perfume, Passion.

The first celebrity to begin the endorsement trend

    Celebrity endorsed perfumes
Elizabeth Taylor’s signature fragrance, White Diamonds

This wasn’t her first fragrance, either. She created her signature fragrance called White Diamonds in 1991, but the success came with the release of Passion 3 years earlier, which became one of the best-selling fragrances ever. Surprisingly, Passion isn’t as expensive to purchase as you may think.

With such an iconic celebrity at the forefront of this trend, it wasn’t long before the likes of Paris Hilton, Jennifer Aniston, and Beyoncé became just some celebrities who saw a market and a platform for following in her footsteps. It’s well-known that having a celebrity behind their perfume will help massively with perfume sales.

Do men and women purchase a designer fragrance because of the name behind it? Perhaps they did a few years ago, but these days, it’s not just the name behind the brand that matters. After all, there’s little point in purchasing a Beyoncé fragrance just because such a music icon is behind its creation.

We purchase perfumes for their fragrance notes and longevity, too. Women and men need to like the scent when wearing it. It’s a waste of money if the bottle sits in the wardrobe and is never worn. It’s not just perfume that celebrities have endorsements for, either.

Clothing, jewellery, and handbags all have a touch of celebrity attached. Items endorsed by famous people will sell much quicker, too. It’s a very clever marketing strategy that has been around for many years.

    Celebrity endorsed products

When a celebrity endorses a product, the product can reach a larger audience and, therefore, make more sales. For example, when we see a perfume endorsed by Beyoncé, it immediately gives the buyer confidence in their purchase, as the person behind the brand is well-known. Having such an iconic celebrity also makes the product more appealing. Have you noticed how attractive the celebrities who endorse products are? It makes them more enchanting.

    Buying a well-known perfume

Purchasing perfume from a celebrity positively impacts the buyer. When they wear the fragrance created by their favourite singer/celebrity, it instantly gives them confidence. The consumer also feels more important because they are wearing such a fragrance. Whenever we see a perfume being advertised on TV, it will always have a famous face in the commercial.

Would it be the same if some random person off the street posed in an elegant dress whilst holding a bottle of perfume? Of course not.

We are very much influenced by successful people around us, and selling a product on TV with a pop star or film actor is incredibly powerful for the consumer market. As buyers, we feel an instant connection to the celebrity and almost feel as famous and well-known as the idol we look up to.

A friend commenting on our latest perfume purchase and commenting how gorgeous you smell is an instant hit for confidence when you tell them which one you have bought. You will also notice that celebrity fragrances don’t have a considerable price tag—certainly not as high as purchasing designer fragrances from popular creators such as Chanel or Tom Ford.

If you find a bottle of Kylie Minogue’s latest scent (2021),  Darling, it doesn’t have a hefty price tag. It can easily be purchased on eBay.co.uk for an affordable price.

That’s a whole new level when we see other designer brands, such as Lancôme, with Julia Roberts as their endorser and ambassador. She is the face behind the iconic brand, and you will see her advertising their fragrance on TV, more often but not limited to Christmas.

‘Unlike the pop stars with their own named fragrance on the shelves, Julia Roberts is simply the one who advertises the brand, not the person who has influenced and created the fragrance notes, bottles and packaging.’Unlike the pop stars with their own ‘named’ fragrance on the shelves, Julia Roberts is simply the one who advertises the brand, not the person who has influenced and created the fragrance notes, bottles and packaging.

    Keeping the money coming in

Another reason celebrities endorse products is to keep them in the limelight even when they’re not. It’s a way of creating additional revenue for the stars without having to take on the responsibility or do a great deal compared to holding a concert or attending a talk show.

    Celebrity endorsed perfumes
Celebrities look for other ways of making money when the concerts are not taking place.

Money earned in the background is appealing to everyone, especially celebrities. If their other income is slow or dried up, with no album sales or films to make, it’s the perfect solution for them. They also know that their celebrity status will help massively with sales as customers buy their perfumes.

How much do celebrities earn from endorsing perfumes?

To begin with, this will depend on who the star is. If it is a well-known, hugely popular, and big influencer, they are likely to earn big money. One of the top endorsers and highest paid is Charlize Theron, who has been the face of Dior since 2004 and is one of the most famous perfume ads.

The iconic 2014 advert sees the actress dressed in gold climbing a silk scarf up to the skylight of an elegant building. She throws off her gold pearls and states that the ‘future is gold’ as she walks across the roof with city buildings surrounding her. It’s no wonder the advert and celebrity alone will have customers reaching for such a perfume as J’adore.

With fragrance notes of pear, melon, mandarin orange, bergamot, Jasmine, musk, vanilla, blackberry and cedar, to name a few, the famous fragrance has an instantly fresh summer vibe within its first spritz. The first sniff of fruit and elegance makes this perfume one of the top sellers.

According to reports, Charlize Theron signed a $3 million deal to be the face behind the Christian Dior J’adore perfume and the ads are still shown on screen today. Since becoming the face of J’adore, she has earned an estimated $55 million over the years. That’s some endorsement profit!

    Holly Willoughby perfume

Holly Willoughby is the latest celebrity to join in creating her fragrance in February 2022. The popular TV presenter has a new fragrance as part of her Wylde Moon brand called (borrowed from) The Wild. With top fragrance notes of Bergamot, Blackcurrant and Geranium, heart notes of Jasmine, Mint and Rose Absolute, and base notes of Amberwood and musk, Holly’s perfume is a huge hit.

Fresh, feminine, and a little heavier than floral, the bottle is simplistic and elegant, with a tassel on its cap. Fans are a little divided about the price of £42 for a 50ml EDP bottle. Some will purchase not just because of the beautiful fragrance but also because of the well-loved and admired celebrity behind its creation.

We are all influenced by beauty, success and down-to-earth celebrities.

    The Cost Of Perfume

When designer fragrances are mentioned, perfume cost is often a talking point. Therefore, many of us focus on saving money. If we can find a suitable fragrance at a better price that suits our needs, we’re all for that. Working with a perfume company brings its fair share of questions.

One of the most frequently asked questions is what the difference is between designer fragrances and FM fragrances. Many have been sceptical over the years, especially when FM launched in the early days.

    The cost of perfume
Drom create perfume oil for many designers as well as FM

How can a perfume that smells almost identical to a designer one cost so much less? Here’s a breakdown of the difference and where your money goes when you purchase both.

Designer- the actual cost of perfume

    Do you sell designer perfume?

When it comes to designer perfumes, we first think of fancy packaging. Some boxes are just as creative as the bottles, and it’s good practice to store them in the box away from direct sunlight. They will last longer when stored correctly.

One of the main features of designer perfumes is their stunning bottles. There are some gorgeous bottles in the stores, and this alone makes the product eye-catching for the customer. When a product stands out, we are more likely to purchase it.

One of the most distinctive bottles is Angel by Thierry Muglar. With the unique shape of a star, it’s not the most practical bottle as it doesn’t stand up independently. That one is best kept in its box.

    Angel perfume by Thierry Mugler

Another one likely to catch the eye is Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. It’s a very large bottle shaped like a blue stiletto shoe, and it’s another one that isn’t practical for every day.

We are a visual nation regarding designer bottles and packaging, especially if you want to take it in your handbag for a night out. Besides a small portion of money going towards the fancy packaging, what else does the customer pay for?

    Celebrity perfumes

Every celebrity perfume will have a celebrity endorser.

    The cost of perfume

A celebrity endorser is someone famous who uses their status and fame to advertise a product or brand. They get paid thousands of pounds to advertise a product, such as a fragrance, in an advert that may only last 30 seconds. Everything from the hair, makeup, and wardrobe to the backdrop set or destination of the advert will cost money and lots of it.

The Impact of TV Advertising on Perfume Prices During the Holiday Season

TV advertising is another part of where our money goes. You’ll often see perfume adverts, especially around Christmas time, when TV bosses take advantage of viewers watching TV during the run-up to Christmas. Customers are looking for ideas for gifts, and what better way than to showcase a product during peak time?

Christmas adverts seem to start earlier each year, as early as October. The TV screen gets showered in adverts to encourage early sales.

The Production Journey and Longevity of Designer Perfumes

Designer perfume oil is diluted, so the expensive bottle of Chanel No 5 you’ve purchased won’t last as long as you’re hoping. We all expect a scent to last for the working day at best without the need to re-apply. This is the production line before your fragrance reaches your shopping basket.

    Manufacturers ➡️ warehouse ➡️ distribution centre ➡️retailers ➡️ customers.

So, when we see what and who is involved in creating a designer perfume, it highlights why the cost can be expensive, especially for top-end brands.

Cost-Effective Packaging and Pure Oil: The FM Perfume Advantage

As we’ve just highlighted about the packaging of designer perfumes, FM uses simple packaging. We don’t need to put our bottles inside fancy boxes. No one sees the box when you purchase a new bottle, so why pay for it?

We also have a simple bottle design. When it comes to FM perfumes, customers are not paying for the bottle. It’s the contents inside that matter the most.

FM perfumes use pure oil. They don’t dilute the perfume oil, so your perfume will last much longer.

Distributor ➡️ customer—it’s a simple process, and because we don’t have a ‘middle man,’ we can keep the costs low for you. There is no advertising, endorsements, or expensive packaging.

Why Switching to Affordable, Long-Lasting Fragrances Makes Sense

We know the importance of having a fragrance that lasts and is kind to your purse/wallet.

Many of you have made the swap and are saving massive amounts on your fragrances.

    Remember:

    • No one sees the fancy box
    • No one sees the fancy bottle
    • Celebrities get paid thousands to advertise
    • TV adverts cost thousands to produce
    • Your perfume oil gets diluted
    • There’s a long chain before the customer receives their product.

So, why are designer perfumes so expensive? It’s crystal clear.

    Do You Sell Designer Perfume?

Since I became a distributor for FM World, I am often asked, “Do you sell designer perfume?” or, “I like Chanel No. 5. Can you get me a bottle?” The answer is always no, so let me explain why you won’t be able to purchase a designer bottle from our perfume company.

At FM World, we are a unique brand. So, what does that mean?

Defining Your Unique Brand: Authenticity and Distinction in the Fragrance Industry

Your unique brand typically means creating and establishing a unique product, service, or individual identity. It involves developing a distinct personality, reputation, and image that sets you apart from competitors and resonates with your target audience. A brand represents the perceptions, values, and experiences of a particular entity or offering.

An identity is a brand with a clear and consistent identity that reflects your purpose, values, and mission. It defines who you are, what you stand for, and what you offer.

A strong brand distinguishes itself from competitors by highlighting its unique selling points and distinctive qualities. It emphasizes what makes it unique or different and positions itself as the preferred choice in the minds of consumers.

A well-established brand ( FM World began its journey in 2004) grows trust and credibility with its audience. Consistently delivering on promises, providing quality products or services, and maintaining excellent customer experiences helps build a positive reputation.

Our brand has become hugely successful worldwide as we have created an emotional connection with our target audience. This connection helps build loyalty and has encouraged our customers to advocate for the brand.

At FM World, thousands of distributors like myself, leaders, and loyal customers enjoy the products the company has created.

If we had a bottle of Chanel no. 5 that we could see, it would be in the same style bottle with the same packaging, and this would then be considered a copy and a fake bottle.

You won’t find any of our fragrances in designer boxes carrying a designer name because we do not sell designer fragrances or copies of them.

Another question I sometimes get asked is how our fragrances smell the same if they are not copies.

For many years, there has been a myth that our fragrances are copies of the designers, so let’s look into that and clarify a few things.

Related Article: Buying Cheap Perfume Will Cost You More

Identifying Fake Fragrances: How to Spot a Copy and What Sets Our Products Apart

We’ve all encountered a fake product at some point, but what does a copied fragrance look like? A copied fragrance will often come in the same packaging and bottle, but the fragrance is significantly diluted, proving that the so-called designer fragrance you have purchased is fake. If our fragrances were fake, they would be in the same bottle and packaging as the original designer fragrances.

As you will see, our fragrances have unique designs and bottles, and we don’t need to dilute our perfumes—quite the opposite. With our perfumes, you receive more perfume oil in each bottle than the designers, who often use around 16% perfume oil compared to FM’s 20% oil.

    Related Article: Long-Lasting Fragrances

Many of our fragrances smell similar, if not identical, but that’s not because we’ve copied them. We use the same company, DROM, for our perfume oils. This vast company supplies FM World with perfume oil and many designer names, such as Chanel, Gucci, and Calvin Klein.

FM also use the same fragrance notes from the fragrance families.

    Perfume Notes

Fragrance families are a way to categorize and classify different types of perfumes based on their dominant scent characteristics. There are several commonly recognized fragrance families, including:

    1. Floral: This family encompasses fragrances that feature the scents of various flowers, such as rose, jasmine, lily, and violet. Floral perfumes are often feminine and romantic.

    2. Oriental: Also known as ambe or spicy fragrances, oriental perfumes are rich, exotic, and often warm. They may contain notes of spices, vanilla, musk, and precious woods like sandalwood or patchouli.

    3. Woody: Fragrances in this family center around woody notes like cedar, pine, or sandalwood. They can be earthy and masculine and evoke the scent of forests.

    4. Fresh: Fresh fragrances are light, clean, and refreshing. They often include notes like citrus fruits (lemon, bergamot), green leaves, and aquatic elements.

    5. Citrus: This family focuses on the bright and refreshing scents of citrus fruits, such as lemon, orange, grapefruit, and bergamot. Citrus perfumes are lively and energetic.

    6. Chypre: Chypre fragrances are distinctive, featuring citrus top notes, floral middle notes, and mossy or woody base notes. They are sophisticated and timeless.

    7. Fougère: The fougère family features aromatic notes like lavender, oakmoss, and coumarin. These fragrances often have a masculine scent and are commonly used in men’s colognes.

    8. Gourmand: Gourmand fragrances evoke the scent of edible treats and desserts. They often feature notes like vanilla, chocolate, caramel, or coffee, creating a sweet and indulgent aroma.

    9. Aromatic: Fragrances highlight herbs and spices like lavender, basil, sage, or thyme. They can be refreshing and are common in men’s and unisex scents.

    10. Leather: Leather fragrances capture the scent of leather, often with additional notes like tobacco, spices, or wood. They can be bold and smoky and evoke a sense of luxury.

These fragrance families provide a framework for understanding the dominant scent characteristics of different perfumes, but many fragrances may contain elements from multiple families or defy easy categorization.

With our fragrance families and notes, we fall into several categories. The scent would be identical if we used similar fragrance notes for one of our perfumes as the designers do for theirs.

What We Can Offer For Similar Scents

If your favourite fragrance happens to be the iconic Chanel no.5, FM can sell you an affordable bottle with similar fragrance notes. It will smell very close, if not identical, to some. Take a look at the fragrance notes in Chanel No. 5

The iconic Chanel No. 5 bottle

    Top Notes: Aldehydes, Neroli, Ylang-Ylang

Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Lily of the Valley

Base Notes: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Patchouli

Let’s now look at the fragrance notes of FM no.21.

Top notes:  aldehyde, ylang-ylang, orange blossom

Middle notes: rose, lily of the valley, iris

When it comes to name-brand perfumes, why are they so expensive, and why do we spend so much on them? I remember peeking into my mum’s wardrobe when I was younger, and there would often be a Chanel or YSL perfume or an Elizabeth Arden lipstick on the shelf. My mom had expensive taste, so many cosmetic and perfume items bore well-known names in the beauty industry.

As we delve deeper into the topic, we understand how prices can vary significantly depending on where you purchase from and who is behind the named brands.

Men and women frequently choose well-known brands, which means they pay for the product, marketing, brand name, and prestige associated with these renowned names.
