There are various reasons why some individuals may struggle at bedtime to switch off for a restful night. Whilst many of us battle with how to fight this issue, some candles help you sleep.

Here are a few common factors that can contribute to difficulty falling asleep:

Worries, racing thoughts, or overthinking can keep the brain active when it needs to wind down. I can certainly associate with a mind that doesn’t switch off easily.

I have to have complete silence when I go to bed. No TV is on in the background or any kind of noise that will interfere with my mind trying to switch off. Being too hot whilst trying to sleep, especially during the hotter months can be very challenging too.

The fan is helpful but it often blows the warm air around the room, thus still causing issues.

Over a long period, the damage is very hard to rectify.

My son works night shifts and when he has his days off, he has to stay awake through the night still to keep the pattern of sleep going.
